Fractional RF

About Fractional RF

Fractional RF  uses a combination of dermal stamping and radiofrequency. Dermal stamping is an organic way of rebuilding collagen and elastin. Radiofrequency uses low-level radio waves to cause a thermal reaction within the dermis. This heat metabolises unhealthy cells and fibres, in-turn causing stimulation to produce healthy new cells. The result is added structure, reduced pore size, reduced acne scarring, and overall skin rejuvenation.

Two technologies in one

Combining fractional radiofrequency with dermal stamping, this treatment gently heats below the surface of your skin and stimulates your skin’s wound healing response.

Versatile effects

This treatment triggers skin tightening, cell regeneration, and collagen production benefits, ideal for anti-aging. It’s also excellent for skin tone, texture, and scar rejuvenation.

Lunchtime treatment

Despite being an advanced treatment, Fractional RF involves minimal discomfort or downtime. It takes about 30 to 45 minutes to complete, and post-treatment redness subsides on its own..

Maximum effectiveness

Using the Viva and Morphuse8 RF device, Fractional RF treatments can be performed on your face or body to target persistent skin concerns like scarring, sagging, and stretch marks.

Consultation

Before your treatment, you’ll have a personalised consultation with one of our trained professionals. This step allows us to assess your skin concerns, review your medical history, and design a customised treatment plan tailored to your individual needs. We will also discuss any necessary preparation and aftercare to ensure the best possible results.

For clients with medium to dark skin tones, we recommend prepping the skin with a melanin inhibitor such as the Skinstitut® Even Blend serum. This will help reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation after the treatment.

Procedure

The Fractional RF procedure typically takes 45–60 minutes, depending on the areas being treated. A specialist-strength numbing gel will be applied beforehand to ensure your comfort during the treatment. Using an advanced Fractional RF device, we deliver targeted RF energy to the skin’s surface while creating micro-channels. This combination works to stimulate collagen production and address deeper skin concerns, including moderate skin laxity.

Results

Results from Fractional RF  may vary depending on your skin concerns. However, improvements in skin texture and tone usually start to become noticeable within a few weeks. Collagen production continues to develop for several months after the treatment, helping to smooth skin and reduce the appearance of acne scars, stretch marks, and fine lines.

Post-Appointment Care for Fractional RF

To ensure optimal results and minimise irritation, please follow these aftercare instructions:

Avoid Makeup

Refrain from applying makeup immediately after your treatment.
It’s best to keep your face makeup-free for 24 hours or use only mineral-based makeup if needed.

No Additional Products

Avoid using any skincare products on your face during the first 4 to 6 hours following your treatment.

Limit Physical Activity

Avoid exercise or any activity that increases your heart rate for 24 hours after your treatment.
For more intensive workouts, wait up to 3 days before resuming.

Avoid Sun Exposure

Protect your skin from direct sun exposure. Use sunscreen as advised by your clinician if you need to go outdoors.

No Deep Exfoliation or Retinol

Avoid any deep exfoliation treatments, retinol products, or harsh skincare for 7 to 10 days.

Gentle Cleansing

Avoid using hot water on your skin. Instead, cleanse your face with cool water and pat it dry gently with a clean towel.

By following these steps, you’ll support your skin’s healing process and maximise the benefits of your  Fractional RF treatment.

Possible Risks or Side Effects of  Fractional RF

Fractional RF is considered a safe and effective procedure when performed by trained professionals. However, like any treatment, there are potential risks and side effects to be aware of. These may include:

Temporary Redness or Swelling:

It’s normal to experience some redness or mild swelling immediately after the treatment, which typically subsides within a day or two.

Minor Bruising:

Some patients may experience minor bruising at the treatment site, especially in areas with thinner skin.

Mild Discomfort or Tingling Sensation:

During the procedure, you may feel slight discomfort or tingling, which is managed with the application of numbing gel beforehand.

Temporary Skin Irritation (Rare):

In rare cases, some individuals may experience temporary irritation or sensitivity, which usually resolves on its own.
